1. Introduction and acceptance

By creating an account or using Artikle.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the platform on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. The service

Artikle.ai provides AI-powered content strategy generation, article writing, and CMS publishing. The service includes:

Business analysis and site crawling
Competitive intelligence and keyword gap analysis
Content strategy generation with topical clusters
Content planning and calendar management
AI-powered article generation from detailed briefs
AI-powered image generation for articles
Review workflows and editorial controls
Direct publishing to connected CMS platforms

We may update, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will communicate material changes via email or in-app notification.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
One person or legal entity per account unless you are on a team plan.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Plans and pricing are as listed on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on your selection.
Payment is processed via our third-party payment provider.
Failed payments may result in service suspension.
You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings.
Upgrades take effect immediately with pro-rated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
Content credits are included with each plan as described on the pricing page. Monthly plan credits do not roll over. Credits purchased via top-up packs do not expire.

5. Free trial

The free trial provides access to the full platform with 500 credits, 1 site, and 8 articles over 14 days.
No credit card is required for the trial.
When your trial credits are used or the trial period ends, you may upgrade to a paid plan.
Your data is retained after the trial ends. If you do not upgrade, your account enters a read-only state.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial at any time.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
You will not be charged after cancellation, but no partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.
Annual subscriptions: no refunds for the remaining term after cancellation, unless required by applicable law.
Top-up credit packs are non-refundable.

7. Content ownership and licensing

You own all content generated by Artikle.ai for your account. This includes strategies, briefs, articles, images, and any associated metadata.
You grant Artikle.ai a limited licence to process, store, and transmit your content solely to provide the service.
You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unintentional similarities to existing content.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that published content complies with applicable laws, does not infringe third-party rights, and is suitable for your audience.
Artikle.ai does not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your generated content.

8. Your website and CMS data

By connecting your website, you authorise Artikle.ai to crawl publicly accessible pages on your domain.
By connecting a CMS platform, you authorise Artikle.ai to publish content to that platform on your behalf when you approve it.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect any website or CMS account you add to the platform.
We access your CMS via API only and do not modify existing content unless you explicitly enable features that do so (e.g. auto-inject internal links).

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
Use the service to generate spam, misleading content, or content designed to manipulate search engines in ways that violate search engine guidelines.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or algorithms.
Share your account credentials or allow unauthorised access.
Use the service to compete directly with Artikle.ai (e.g. reselling generated content as a content generation service) unless on a white-label Agency plan.
Exceed your plan limits through automated means or abuse the credit system.
Use the platform to store or transmit malware or malicious code.

10. AI-generated content disclaimer

Content is generated by AI models (Anthropic Claude for text, Google Gemini for images) and may contain factual errors, outdated information, or unintentional bias.
Artikle.ai provides SEO scoring, AEO scoring, plagiarism detection, and AI detection tools to help you assess content quality, but these tools are not guarantees.
You are responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, and approving all content before publication.
Artikle.ai is not liable for any consequences arising from content you choose to publish.

11. Availability and uptime

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artikle.ai’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
We are not liable for loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Artikle.ai, its officers, directors, and employees against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your published content, or your breach of these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days in advance. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
